What do you Believe?

What we believe matters to God. It is the measure He uses to pour out His blessings in our lives.

Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace (unmerited favor), to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendants--not only to the devotees and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all.
                              Romans 4:16 Amplified

When we limit our belief in God to little things then we will have a little life - little joy, little peace, little jobs, little love, little friends, little money, and little health. But when we dare to step out and believe God for big things, our lives become big - big joy, big peace, big, jobs, big love, lots of friends, big money, and big health.

Our belief in God triggers His response to our need.

For many years I wanted to teach people about God but because I didn't think I was good enough for the job, I didn't have many opportunities. My insecurity was bigger than my faith in God. The day I accepted as truth God's desire to use me as a teacher of His word was the beginning of me living my dream. Now, I am used by God daily to share His love and truth with people everywhere.

What are you believing God for?  What are you trying to make work on your own?

Today's verse is a reminder that we receive the promises of God by faith.  Every promise of God is ours to take and we take them by believing that God has given them to us.  Leave your past behind you and look ahead to the blessings God is waiting for you to believe Him for.

Our lives are limited by what we believe.
