Take It - Take It All
Every day we are given blessings, favor, and opportunities to learn more about God and to live the abundant life Jesus promises us. Daily, the Bible promises His mercies are new. Daily, we are given everything we need to live full and happy lives. Daily, we are given great wisdom, strength, nourishment and greater health.
Every day we can live closer to God than the day before.
With all that being said, I wonder why so many believers are living without these things?
Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.
Hebrews 12:28 NLT
Notice the word "receiving" - we cannot have anything from God without receiving what He is giving. How does one receive such a gift as the Kingdom of God? We accept it. We reach out for it, put our hands on it, draw it to us, and make it ours. We declare our ownership through our words and deeds. We think of the gift as ours and verbally acknowledge it to others and ourselves. We use the gift with confidence in our daily lives.
God has given us more than we can ever use in our life on this earth. There is no end to His supply chain and there is nothing that He cannot help us with. One of the greatest nuggets of truth comes from God's promise to supply all our needs. The disconnect between our lives and the promises of God comes when we think that what we need is found in possessions or positions.
All we truly need for a great life is found in the Word of God.
We have been given a treasure chest full of the most powerful and wonderful riches man could ever have. That treasure chest is God's word. In our Bibles we hold the key to unlocking our freedom from every hurt, habit or hangup that we struggle with. By receiving the words given to us by God, we can have the greatest life imaginable.
God's promises are for whosoever will believe them. So take them. Receive the Word of God. Read it daily. Think about it. Speak it. Live it. Without it, you have nothing to stand on.
There are no limits to what God gives. So take it - take it all.
