With All My Heart 5

Jesus promised us that in this world we would encounter difficult things but He also told us not to give in to worry or fear over them because He has secured our victory.

The arrogant and godless have put together a lie against me, but I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart.
                              Psalm 119:69 Amplified

There will be times that we meet opposition and people will come against us. The precepts of God, in His Word, have been given to us not only as a foundation for us to build our lives on but also as a weapon to defend and protect ourselves.

Staying focused on God's promises instead of the words or actions of people will keep us safely in His arms.  God is stronger and smarter than any human being on earth.  He will not let falsehood of any kind prevail against you.

When we diligently apply God's word to our lives, the lies of our enemies will have no substance.  People who speak wrongly about us will be revealed as liars by our righteous actions to uphold God's instructions.  Remember how false accusers tried to come up with stories about Jesus?  How about those who told lies about Paul?  Truth always triumphs over lies.

It does no good for us to get sideways about people who talk smack about us.  Letting our emotions run wild will not prove them wrong.  Neither does retaliation.  When people try to come against us with lies, God will be our defender.

Psalm 91:4 says that God's promises are our armor and protection. Don't waste your time and energy trying to defend yourself.  Let God do it.

God's word is your best protection.
