No Rush
We all go through seasons where we are just busy. There are not enough hours in the day to get everything done and it seems as if the pressure will not let up. It is during these periods that I find myself easily frustrated and very short tempered.
I am learning that when life is chaotic and I cannot keep up that these are the times I most need to be still and just sit with God. There is no place else more refreshing or more rejuvenating than just being with the One who knows and understands me better than anyone else and loves me unconditionally.
Jesus thought time alone in the midst of chaos was a good thing. Look at the following passage:

Jesus thought time alone in the midst of chaos was a good thing. Look at the following passage:
The apostles [sent out as missionaries] came back and gathered together to Jesus, and told Him all that they had done and taught. And He said to them, [As for you] come away by yourselves to a deserted place, and rest a while--for many were [continually] coming and going, and they had not even leisure enough to eat. And they went away in a boat to a solitary place by themselves. Now many [people] saw them going and recognized them, and they ran there on foot from all the surrounding towns, and they got there ahead [of those in the boat].
Mark 6:30-33 Amplified
There are many messages here but the one that strikes me most at the moment is that the apostles did not rush through their time on the boat. Notice the people who saw them leaving in the boat - beat them to their destination. The apostles tarried on the water. They took their time and rested in the presence of the Lord.
It is not uncommon for people who are in a busy season to rush through everything they do. Being quick is not always a good thing. Going too fast can result in an increased number of mistakes.

Hey, I have an idea, instead of us rushing around telling God how important our timeline is - why don't we ask Him what His timeline is?
Waiting with God can seem impossibly hard. Our minds will scream about missed opportunities and loss of revenue but our spirits will produce a harvest far greater than anything we think we might be missing out on.
No matter how busy we get, Jesus will always beckon us to remain close to Him. In His presence we will find fullness of joy and of every other spiritual blessing that He has given us.

Savor your quiet moments with God and tarry in His boat.
