New Day, New Mercies, New Life
Because of What You Did
And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.”
Revelation 5:9-10 ESV
Jesus did everything needed for us to be able to enter into a personal covenant relationship with God, our Heavenly Father, the LORD God Almighty, the great I AM.
Jesus gave up His earthly life for us and it is His blood and His blood alone that covers and removes all of our sin. The debt of our sin, past, present and future, has been paid in full by Jesus Christ Himself. This is better than the stranger in front of you buying your coffee at Starbucks. Amen!!
Not only did Jesus take care of the demands of our sin but He also positioned us to enter into a very real and personal covenant relationship with God. Becoming a Christ follower is a process. Praying the sinners prayer, although powerful when spoken from a sincere heart, isn't the end of our salvation. It is the beginning.
From the moment we genuinely pray, "Jesus, I make You the LORD of my life." We are given options that allow us to build a relationship with God unlike any earthly relationship we have ever ever experienced and I mean that in a good way.
God doesn't love us like other people claim to. He doesn't treat us like other people do. He does EVERYTHING better because He is pure, holy, and faithful. But most of, because God is love.
It was love that sent Jesus into the world to live as a man, suffer as a man, and die as a man so that ALL people would have a door of opportunity to know God for themselves. It is because of Jesus that we can have our sins forgiven and we can have a fresh start.
No matter what your yesterday held, it is gone today. Although you may still experience the consequences you yesterday's choices, God has new mercies for his morning. Accept His forgiveness, rest in His presence, and let Him help you.
I'd love to pray for you. Go to the contact tab at the top and leave me a message.
Put God in front of everything you do!
