Go
Everyone of us has a purpose. It may be visible to thousands of people and it may only be visible to a few. While we tend to make a big deal about the people who have big ministries, pastor mega churches, or write several books that become best-sellers - these are people who do not have the ability to change lives like you do.
Yes, I said YOU. I said it in my last post and it bears repeating again: Nothing has a greater impact on the lives of people than seeing a life transformed by faith in God.
If you are like me (someone with a past shrouded in darkness), you may think there is no way that is true. But you would be wrong. God purposely chooses those who have been through the worst to use as a demonstration of His endless mercy and overwhelming grace and we are all given the same commission.

Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Matthew 28:19 Amplified
Go. Jesus sends everyone who believes in Him out into all the world. The world you are sent to may be a square mile in size or it may span the globe. The distance is not important to God. What matters most is that you living your life by faith in Christ will demonstrate aspects of God's character to everyone around you. It is this revelation of God's grace and mercy that the nature of God is revealed to those who do not go to church. Through you, the reality of God is exposed to a lost and hurting world. Sadly, your church may be full of people who have yet to witness the power a transformed life can bring to the table.
Go and make disciples. We cannot make disciples if we separate ourselves from other people. Discipling someone requires intimacy and God given wisdom. Jesus had twelve disciples. They shared life together for three years. They ate, ministered, slept, and traveled together. Jesus taught them and they discussed what He said. Human interaction and a great deal of vulnerability are the necessary ingredients in this recipe.
Making disciples is not about you being a leader as much as it is about you sharing your life and love for Jesus with a group of others believers. You help each other out by discussing the Word and how to live it in your daily lives. You carry each others burdens, pray in agreement with each other, intercede when one is struggling, and celebrate the victories together.
In these groups there is no room for comparison or petty jealousy. There is no gossip or rudeness. What there is plenty of space for is love, compassion, peace, and joy. Our gripes, complaints, and opinions have got to go. This gives God the room to move in and among us. By His presence we are able to mature, grow, and discover new delights. We can only get to know God and each other better when we get ourselves out of the way.
Go.
Go into your world and live your faith boldly. Live it with courage. Live it with confidence.
Let others see God in the way you live.
